STEP 1: INITIAL CONTACT

When you initially contact the office we will gather some basic information from you. This is an important first step in order to determine whether we may be able to assist you and if so, the best way to get started.

If we are able to assist you and you decide to move forward, we will schedule a Vision Meeting.

There are 3 Meeting options available to you:

  • You can schedule a no-cost 15-minute phone consultation to learn more about our services and get a few preliminary questions answered.
  • You can Schedule your vision meeting: This meeting is about an hour. We discuss your family needs and goals and establish a plan to move forward.
  • Estate plan check up meeting: This meeting is meant for families who already have an estate plan in place. The goal is to evaluate whether your estate plan still services your goals and needs and whether changes need to be made.

STEP 2: VISION MEETING

In preparation for the vision meeting our office will contact you via email with important information such as the link for the virtual session.

In order to help you get the most value out of the Vision Meeting, we ask you to complete and return a one-page Vision Meeting Form with a little bit of information about yourself, your family, and your finances. Don’t worry, it shouldn’t take more than 5-10 minutes to complete and we don’t ask for any sensitive information like dates of birth or account numbers. Please call us if you need assistance completing your Vision Meeting form or if you have any questions.

On the day of your meeting, please expect to spend one hour. Your initial meeting has two purposes:

  1. To educate you about estate planning law and what would happen if you died with your current (or no) estate plan in place, and
  2. To determine if there is potential for a good working relationship between you and our firm.

We’ll discuss what you want to happen in all areas in the event of your death and begin to ascertain what is needed to design the plan that will give you peace of mind, knowing your family will be taken care of in the ways you want.

There is no fee for this meeting. At the end of this meeting if you wish to go forward we will schedule your Design Meeting.

STEP 3: DESIGN MEETING

In preparation for your design meeting you will be expected to complete a more in depth form to ensure accuracy of all information included in your estate plan.

We will go over all available planning options for your specific family needs.

During this meeting we will sign a fee agreement, pay initial engagement amount and set next appointment.

There is a flat fee for this meeting. It is included in your flat-fee estate planning package fee.

STEP 4: REVIEW SESSION

During this meeting we will go over your estate planning documents and ensure your wishes are clear. We will discuss whether any changes are required prior to signing day.

STEP 5: SIGNING DAY

At this appointment you will review all documents for the final time. You will also sign all necessary documents to complete your estate plan.
